HISPANIC MOTOR PRESS ANNOUNCED THE 2021 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
The Hispanic Motor Press revealed the Scholarship winner during the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) and AutoMobility LA
The annual scholarship is available to communications and automotive college students across the United States. Candidates submit their work, which is reviewed by a panel of experienced journalists in the automotive industry.
«We need proper representation in the media rooms, and we must nurture the next wave of journalists that preserve our culture and traditions» said Ricardo Rodriguez-Long, the president of Hispanic Motor Press. «The media world keeps changing, but more than ever, we need to make sure that what we share with the Hispanic/Latino consumer is based on facts and presented professionally.»
This year, the scholarshiop recipient was Mr. Wayne Torres Rivera, a Puerto Rican descendant, from Washington DC., who moved to California to pursue his studies in Automotive Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Torres Rivera is also a talented photographer, and his work appear in industry publications. «Wayne has the quality and drive to be successful. I am happy for him and I knowk Wayne Torres-Rivera fit all our criteria,» said Aaron Sanchez, the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee.∆
